*Waves* Hello! I'm a female sci-fi nerd and I don't like your generalisation. Now I'd by lying if I said I didn't have my fangirl moments, but being a bit of a fangirl occasionally does not constitute being, shallow, vapid and completely incapable of critical thought. I hated Rose and I'm also not a DrxRiver fan but I love a bit of sci-fi goodness and Dr Who is just that, as much now as it ever was. Please don't go insulting half your species because you can't take a change.

@elfhermie That's because women have no interest in barely anything accept that which subsumes relationships. They don't like Sci-Fi coz it has nothing that interests them. No Sex, No kissing, No petty arguments, no infidelity, no girl power crap, etc. But the female market is worth more than the male market, because they are so obsessed with money. So they turned Dr Who into just another soap with shallow writing so that even women cud understand it. It's not Dr Who & has no artistic value.

@therealKINDLE You said it! Remember when Doctor Who was a show only guys who were proud to be dorks watched? You'd have to look hard and long to find a girl who would sit still for the old series here in the States, and if you did...she was either a real space cadet...or a total keeper. Nowadays, the new Who has girl fans galore. It's a totally different ball of wax. Basically a soap opera about lovey dovey modern day hippies. What's next? A new 3 Stooges starring nonviolent male models?

This reminds me of the AVGN 'Dr Jeykll and Mr. Hyde' review, where he looks into the camera, acting all serious...Then as the camera fades he cracks a smile and laughs, like you hear Tom Baker do as the doors close. :D
