@samuils Yea the problem I have is that we REDISTRIBUTE my hard earned money, and give it to the lazy asses that wouldn't work at a pie factory TASTING PIES!!! thats what pisses me off, I see so many lazy (usually black, no racism just what I see) people who are on welfare but drive HUGE vehicles and have 50lbs of gold on (and are usually fat) and live in a freaking shanty, are on welfare and eat better than I do, and I know this for a fact! I've seen it time and time and TIME AGAIN!
But there wasn't much benefit for the middle class or poor, wages have been largely flat in America which is why debt has grown so much since the 80's which is largely crippling the economy today. Perhaps I am taking wealth redistribution a step further then you would define it, but I believe in practical terms I think I'm right. And undocumented workers are another factor that contributes, but less so then free trade agreements that encourage the exploitation of third world labour.
gramamge33 If there is benefit for the rich and poor alike, it is benefit already. And once again it is not redistribution of wealth as you want to call it. Slashing taxes is not redistribution of wealth. But taking wealth from one person and giving it to another is indeed redistribution, I think you are a bit lost with concepts. And driving down workers pay, you might want to look into a small problem with illegal aliens, you cant attribute lower taxes to lower pay for workers
Not really. Reagan's tax cuts disproportionately benefited the rich and the costs of the weakened dollar and flat salaries for the middle class made the middle and lower classes get practically poorer. How is that not wealth redistribution? One needs only look at the growth in the gap between executive pay and average worker pay (up in the 1000% range from the 70's I believe) to see that Reagan's policies resulted in wealth redistribution.
Growth of government and taxation are slightly different subjects. If government grows with ought added taxes, then it is just that growth of government. Under Reagan taxes were cut, so no there was no redistribution of wealth under Reagan. Not to mention gvt was subtracting under Reagan
Not when you grow the government regardless of tax revenue though, and size of government grew under Reagan as did the deficit and debt. When you cut taxes on the upper class of people while continuing to grow the size of government you devalue the dollar and create inflation that more negatively effects the lower class. The result is the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, and what is wealth redistribution if not policy that effects who is richer and who is poorer?
SEIU I am renaming them they are now STDIU, they are just like a sexually transmitted virus. You go to them because they look so nice, then you end up sticking with them for the rest of your life, while having to pay up a hefty price for treatment with no cure

Simply put, get the scumbags out of Washington. Starting with Obama, all the way down to the janitors. Get rid of them all.
