True blood was such a good metaphor on how society really is

@WarshipAngelus We must not be reading the same books. Sookie HATES being controlled by the vampires. She doesn't want them buying her stuff, or taking care of her. She tries to be an independent woman.

@yourtornpictures Yes, I have read one of the Twlight books and one of the True Blood and pretty much Sookie Stackhouse is a women who wants a vampire to control her most of the time the big different is that since Sookie has more freewill than Bella when it comes to Normal Humans but allow herself to be control by the vampires because she allows it.
Bella is still a younge Girl looking for her own freewill but doesn't know where it is. Pretty much True Blood is a Rated R verson of Twlight.

Why does everybody always forget that in the Sookie Stackhouse series, a large percentage of the vampires are seriously amoral, if not evil? I mean, they're not all Bill - I personally would think twice about Long Shadow working in a daycare center.

That's Your option.. Having seen all three Twlight movies and watch True Blood series up to season three.
There are almost pretty much the same story with certain different elements.

@WarshipAngelus No..., I disagree. Strongly. Twilight is about a girl who feels the need to be controlled by a guy 24/7. Then, when said guy leaves her she tries to kill herself. The Sookie Stackhouse series is MORE complex than the Twilight series and the heroine is 10x smarter than Bella. I haven't read the Vampire Diaries books nor have I seen the show and I kind of don't want to.

The only different between Tru Blood and the Twlight movie series and books is the fact that Tru Blood is Rated-R while, Twlight is more PG-14-18.

this is why i love true blood. the whole vampire thing is actually a metaphor for minorities, gays, and other disenfranchised people. (i was mainly thinking of black people and homosexuals, though.)
