@Theoneandonlydeafgir i dont think ur different just hard of hearing or deaf, ur still human and thats all that matters same to u spykexboi. my reason for learning sign is so i can talk to my gf and say stuff her mum cant understand hehe

One more thing... My parents were huge on enunciation, even when I was a kid and couldn't fully hear what people were saying, my parents would give me hell if I mispronounced words. I had to learn to talk without a lisp or sounding funny. I speak really good except when I am mad or upset... then you can tell I am hearing impaired. What sucks though is that I am going deaf but I do not know sign language. I really need to find some deaf friends and learn how to sign.

i go through the same bs myself.... I wear hearing aids too. My boss at work gives me shit about it. I stopped wearing my hearing aids at work because they were harassing me so badly and insinuating I could hear more than I actually can. Not to mention people treat me like I am a forking idiot. :( Maybe its wrong to say, but at times I do wish I were fully deaf because then no one would question what I did or didn't hear over the intercom or whether or not I heard a customer asking for help.

I don't exactly agree that "we have that look" ... but .. yes .. many people seem to not believe others when they say they are hard of hearing .. and it's quite annoying ... many people start looking for hearing aids ... and you can't even see mine .. I have to literally pull the hearing aid out of my ear/s like you just did .. LOL ... Many people think that since I have no speech problem that my hearing can't be that bad
