  • I learned a great deal of my vocabulary, diction and syntax watching these excellent old shows as a baby. Thanks for sharing!

  • John Cameron Swayze had been replaced by Huntley-Brinkley in the month prior to this show. Ironically he would be one of the revolving replacements for John Daly when Daly abruptly resigned as anchor of ABC Evening News in November 1960.

  • @Steve7508 And I've known at least one man who did exactly that.

  • It wouldn't be uncomfortable to sit on whisky flavored toothpaste?? Weirdo, John D.

  • That disgusting Kesha would like this

  • John Cameron Swayze

"It takes a licking and keeps on ticking"!

Swayze--a newsman--did great commercials for Timex watches.

  • I wouldn't mind whiskey "hic" toothpaste :)
