Michigan vs. Va Tech - false start on winning kick All State Sugar Bowl 2012

Michigan kicker obviously false starts before kicking the game winning field goal in the sugar bowl against Virginia tech. And just for the record, I'm not a Va Tech fan, so don't post a comment referring to me as one.

You really need to quit crying about this, VA Tech blew it, you lost the game get over it. Even if they had called false start it would have only been 5 more yards with the ball still placed right in the middle of the uprights, 99.9% chance he is going to make the kick anyways. Good Job Michigan on the win.

@Teynor18 well for one I'm not a Va Tech fan, all I did was post the video because it was obviously a false start. And two, if you think that a five yard penalty on a game winning kick couldn't have possibly resulted in a miss, then you must be new to the sport of football. I've never seen a season with so many blown kicks that should have easily been made, and for you to say there was a 99.9% chance he makes that kick just shows your lack of intelligence of football.

@jsj297 Their overturned TD reminded me of the "not touchdown" that happened to us in Iowa. Sometimes the calls are against you, sometimes they're for you. It balanced out for us. VT is in line for some good karma next year. Better to win ugly than lose pretty. I think it would have been a more competitive game had Molk and Van Bergen not been playing injured. And VT? Major props to your third string kicker. He really performed and I felt for him after his last kick. He was tremendous.

@airwalka182 So VT shouldn't be in it even though they made it to the ACC championship game and lost, yet MSU should because they made it to the B10 championship game and lost. The same MSU they got run over by Notre Dame and Nebraska (two teams Michigan beat). If you make an argument for MSU then you can make an argument for Michigan.

@zippy476 Nope, I could care less considering I'm from oregon and my team won the rose bowl. VT played like crap and lost the game for themselves just as much as the refs did. VT had no business being there but neither did michigan. only 189 yards against VT? thats pretty bad. Michigan st was obviously a better choice for the game, yet they got screwed by a mediocre michigan team as well.
