Formula Rossa Test Launch World's Fastest Rollercoaster Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

Formula Rossa is a launched roller coaster designed by Intamin of Switzerland. and is currently under construction at Ferrari World in Dhabai. It will be the world's fastest roller coaster at a top speed of 150 mph (240 kmph) when it opens on October 28th 2010. The ride will accelerate to its top speed within 4 seconds and is over 1.2 miles long (2 kilometres). Due to the high speeds, all riders will be required to wear protective glasses.

@sleepinggiant1119 i think they were speeding up that part of the video. Also, the hills are quite flat so the gs are probably within limits. But I agree, the ride is definitely pushing on the mechanical limits of that type of ride. And also, I have to admit I don't find the layout to be very witty.

But I think what they are building down there are things that break scale records, cost a lot of money and look like it too. I guess it succeeds in that department
