  • @7734Duke ...i think they took it out

  • @zombiemonster I know what you mean. Hoffman is usually a sign of a quality film. The story certainly had potential. Just not in the hands of Curtis.

  • @jaredneedsalife however this was before I saw the movie. And when I saw It I was really pissed off. I thought it was going to be a true story, in which, Philip Seymore Hoffman would portray the bold and daring Count of the airwaves. However, it turned into a shamble and an unorganized story with little to no relevance to history of pirate radio, nor the importance they played in the golden era of rock n' roll.

Because it bombed in over here so they changed the title and also cut 20 mins for the american release...and guess what....you can;t shine a turd so it bombed again. took well under 10 million worldwide from a 30 million plus budget/

smell oscar rofl. The trailer is actually better than the film. Richard Curtis films have always been naff, he's a one trick pony and his main idea of hilarity is upper class or bourgeois British guys saying 'arse' or 'feck' over and over again very quickly. I am so glad this bombed, maybe people finally got wise to how contrived his films are not to mention utterly sickly. only good thing = not as bad as Notting Hill, but then - what is?

  • why is this not called the boat that rocked in america?

  • The american trailer is shit compares to the original

  • probably one of my favorite movies...also has a mindblowing soundtrack

  • the true story is cooler, they weren't on a boat but at the abandoned Maunsell Sea Forts on the open sea where no country has jurisdiction. Because of that, they had assault rifles and bazookas to defend themselves.
