@Notanotherscreenname im sure it does, you will be taking in less food, (sugar) this will help control it..but, you should look into the dudenum sleeve, i live in the chicagoland area, and im looking to find someone that does it, the research i did indicates that this is great for diabetics, i am not a diabetic, but need to lose 100 pounds. the sleeve is endoscopic, and they dont gut you like a fish, it is also removed after time

Does the sleeve have the same effect on Type II diabetes as Gastric bypass. I am looking into either for my type II my bmi is 35. I spoke with a surgeon in Chicago and he thought the sleeve would be better for me.
