It's really awsome place! I've been there 3 years ago as erasmus student and really miss it! great nature, nice people, awsome atmosphere, very peacefull, Arcticum and ... come on, where else in the world can you work out in Santa Sport Center :) ? you're very lucky that you live there:)

@shckar Well, in the coldest time of the year its usual to have more than -30. Sometimes it has been over -50 and -20 isnt even bad. We were born to this climate and at least I have learned to really appreciate it and enjoy it.

@JanFlinck i live in brasil i dont imagine what is to live in such a cold place can you tell me ?? what do you work ? what do for fun?? the most cold i fell was about 10 or maybe 5 celsius not even 0 celsius

I miss this area sooooooooooo much as I stayed/lived there 20 years in summertime and easter and winter x-mas time with my family

a finnish woman and two loved daughters in our LapinMökki / Syväjärvi we built by ourselfes.

But know these times are over .......... as my wife and me had divorced :-(((((((

I miss it so much ......... most my daughters and the feeling of this wonderful country!

I have lived there. My all good memorys is from Rovaniemi. I love Rovaniemi. Fantastic. Go there if u wanna some nice memorys. Fantastic place.

That "asemapäällikkö" is a name of a preschool. I remember years ago I was in a different preschool, and we always had skiing and football competitions, memories... But I don't personally like the husky riding things and all that, it doesn't feel like Rovaniemi. I've lived 13 years (all my life) in Rovaniemi. Nowadays near the place where one of the photos were taken.
