  • On paper, Coleman is considered a far superior wrestler than Tito. Making it the US heavyweight wrestling team back to back is a serious wrestling credential. Also, Coleman is a natural heavyweight and is physically a larger 205 pounder on fight night. I'm not saying Coleman is gonna win the fight, but it will be close. Tito's stand up is average at best.

  • on paper he is for sure. but in the octagon it might be a different storie. titos stand up isnt amazing but colemans is below average. i think tito is the better athleate and will be able to win on the feet and fare well on the ground. and he will be pushing the pace. if coleman doesnt come in shape it might get ugly.

  • It's interesting how you mentioned Shamrock. I always wondered why Coleman and Shamrock never crossed paths. If they fought in 1996, that would have been an epic battle. After Shamrock returned to the UFC in 2002, he was never the same. Both his knees were worn out and couldn't mount any offense against Tito. If Coleman and Shamrock fight today, I think Coleman would Finish him by outwrestling him and ground & pound.

  • i would have liked to see that fight. i think coleman would have won from superior wrestling, but ken had some nice power in his hands.

  • THE FIRST GUY WALKED AWAY AND TITO KIND OF EXPECTED HIM TO SHAKE HIS HAND, JUST CHECK OUT THE BODY LANGUAGE

  • why did the fight never happen

  • Tito is very very physcially strong.

Rampage said tito was one of the only guys he rolled with who was as strong as him.

Tito doesn't even lift for strength or size and he is still thick as fuck.

i wish he did some frank mir style powerlifting...he was a gr8 fighter, he could be still be a very good one

  • @LiberatorOfAmerica Well Karo might not be strong in the since of doing olympic lifts such as deadlifts and bench presses. But I think his strength is more like a pro arm wrestler. When Joe Rogan met Karo he said he had a really strong grip during there hand shake.

  • If Coleman was in his prime, I doubt that he would even show up for this fight! He can only fight old guys! What a shame!

  • not really, machida threw him around like a little girl when they clinched up! but ya tito is strong

  • Tito's striking isn't that great compared to some other athletes Coleman's faced. Fighters like Fedor, Crocop, Nogueira, Shogun are all much tougher opponents than Tito. If Coleman shows up at the exact same shape like he did at UFC 100, it will be a great fight. Plus training with Randy Couture will greatly help him prepare for the fight.
