i want to start skating and i was wondering what kind of deck to get? i heard that darkside lights are good but is there anything better for a beginer?

@willyIV Well with practice makes perfect! BU is still a great college, many great people went there like MLK Jr. I hear University of Texas and Texas Tech are like almost as good as MIT of course I still believe MIT is the Cadillac of schools for Tech in USA.

@NerdForMIT Bingo! Keep ur grades up! If u can skateboard u can kick butt on a snowboard - Killington is near VT & was one of my fav ski areas. I ski like a champ & play hockey, so skateboarding was a great dry land alternative(tho I suck). In HS I could only dream of MIT(lousy grades), so I went to BU instead. Later I got an MBA from the U of Texas. Rock on!

@willyIV Thanks, I am just going cause I love electronics and electrical and I figure you live once so treat yourself to the best and figure go for EE. But no I am going to go to Vermont Tech first them transfer to MIT after I gather a little money cause MIT is like 50K a year and man thats some tough money. But thank you MIT for financial aid right lol. I was just going to buy a 50 dollar deck some cheap trucks and wheels.

@NerdForMIT For short money u can buy a(cheesy) complete board or cobble a decent one together from parts. Good luck at MIT. I attended their evening HS program during my JR yr. The urban Cambridge campus has a vibrant atmosphere that will challenge u. BTW, Boston is a mecca for geeks, nerds & wannabees, Good luck!
