Freezing For A Reason

The Polar Plunge raised over $57,000 dollars for Special Olympics in Springfield, Illinois. Mid-West Family Broadcasting's Lite Rock 98.7 WNNS and Alice @ 97.7, Springfield's Music Alternative, broadcast from the event just before sending teams into the 38 degree Lake Springfield. Featured in this video are Darrin Burnett from Illinois Area 17 of the Special Olympics and live on-air breaks from Lite Rock's Chris, Genevieve and Deb and Alice @ 97.7's Johnny Molson. Also featured are a bunch of the very creative costumes and themes several of the teams had has they took the plunge to raise money for the Special Olympics.
