This video summarizes the entire issue with our Autopetfeeder that failed, causing our cat, Bob to get very sick.

Update: Bob has fully recovered and is back to his wonderful, playful self. We no longer use Ergo Systems feeders. You know, we love this cat tremendously. I've owned cats my whole life and never once mistreated an animal. For people who suggest that somehow this was negligence on our part, I don't know if you work for Ergo Systems or their insurance company, but you can take this to the bank: If we didn't care about Bob we wouldn't have spent one dime on saving his life. It is insulting to suggest that we don't care for him when you don't know us. Bob brings great joy into our lives. This product is designed and marketed as a major convenience for pet owners to rest assured that their pet will receive timely feedings, even if the owner is not home. Ergo Systems claims the nylon auger "prevents jamming" but that's BS. This one jammed. See for yourself. You may be able to give the company a pass for this but if it were your pet's health at risk you need to ask yourself how you would feel about the company's response.
