This videowork contains photos of Oakworth Railway Station, the one that was featured in the movie, the photos of the station were taken when I was on holiday in Yorkshire, England. I love this movie and I have fond memories watching it when I was a kid. My late father loved this movie. Im sorry it is so short but nevertheless I hope you enjoy it!

  • charlie chaplin wrote the song you used in the background, did you know they re-made this a few years ago and jenny played the mother!

  • Yes I know that Charlie Chaplin wrote this piece, I thought there was something charming about the music so I used it. Yes I have heard about the re-make of the railway children but to be honest nothing beats the original

  • Thank you for letting me know about your meeting with Jenny Agutter, teebee17. And thank you to all who have commented too. Cheers :) Love Starrydaze :)

  • Thank you for your nice comments. Much appreciated.

  • Thanks for posting this gentle subject. The film, itself, was a delightful piece.

  • I just watched this film again after 35 years - this time with my American wife who loves all things English. It's shocking to realize how 'far' we've come... this is a (by comparison to much of today's cinematic output) tremendous film which, whilst visual still provides the watcher with all the anticpiation, excitement and involvement of a classic 'book' without any special effects or 'incredible' nonesense. Ebay has copies; GET ONE, watch it and believe. Johnny Douglas' original score is A1
