Amazing guitarist and an amazing guy who loved his fans. Met him at Hammersmith Odean UK 1981 at a Greg Lake concert. He persuaded me to purchase tickets for his upcoming Blizzard of Oz gig in December of that year. Unfortunately, Ozzy had a sore throat and cancelled his UK tour much to my disapointed which was nothing compared to the loss of Randy 4 months later.. Sad loss to all musicians as he was inspirational..... RIP Randy, you will always be my guitar idol.

no one will ever be better than randy ever was and he will always be my fav guitarist i just wish zakk wylde wouldnt fuck up his brilliant work by making all those pitch harmonix it gets old

@Guitargod18 Zakk Wylde's guitar riffs and solos got stuck in a rut as "ALL" his solos sounded the same after awhile,Jake E.Lee is the one one I would choose over Zakk.That is just my opinion,no disrespect to you.ROCK ON!!!!!!!

There is very little footage of Randy live. I can't think of any other player who influenced so many with so little material.
