Didn't obama win most of the south in 2008. If i recall he did win Alabama and Georgia.

I believe that ABC stations in the Eastern and Central; time zones got network coverage beginning at 7 P.M. ET; while Mountain and Pacific time zone stations did not get network coverage until 5 P.M. PT/6 MT.

@irrelevent100 I see your points and they are true. I was basing what I said on changing demographics because they it has happen in my state of Virginia. It was ruby red up until really 2005.

In 3 more election cycles, Georgia, Texas, and Arizona will no longer be reliably Republican. They will become swing states.

@olehomer88 Not only that, they called Florida before the polls had closed in the entire state. They called it for Gore at 8:30, when the polls in the panhandle didn't close until 9 PM EST.
