This is my (Wisi) EZ 74 UHF Antenna.

I bye it in 1988. In it's originally length,
it amplifies the signal with 16.5 DB.
A storm destroy some part of it, so I
have to remove some of the directors.
So the antenna is now a little bit shorter.
The antenna have insulated left and
right dipole (not a folded dipole).
All directors are insulated left and right.
The reflector are not left-right Insulated.
Originally it have a Channel rang
within 21-20, but that was to narrow
for my usage, so I remove the filter
inside the antenna's connector box, and
now it work over a wide rang of channels.

I use the antenna for the Norwegian RiksTV.

The box you can see mounted below the
antenna, is an danish "Arcodan" antenna
amplifier, that amplifies the antenna
signal with 25 DB.

The musics is an improvisation I play on
my Yamaha Dx7. The patch I use on my
Dx7 is called "CH-Piano A".
I use "Alesis QuadraVerb", patch "CHORUSTRING 2"
for that great reverb sound.

  • @TheHenry1953 Thanks for the feedback.

That's a very nice looking antenna.

  • @johnlvs2run The antenna is mounted on a circa 500 centimeter high pole:).

  • @TheHenry1953 Sorry, I mean the pole that is connected to the house. It looks like about a 10 meter high pole. Is it a solid pole or did you connect more than one pole together? I would like to do whatever you did, as currently my antenna's on the chimney and I'd rather not keep going up on the roof.

  • @johnlvs2run Maybe it is an 1 meter band antenna?

It is my TV antenna for the Norwegian RiksTV, 470-790 MHz / channel 21-60.

The dipole is not a folded dipole (300 ohm), it is a standard (75 ohm) dipole.

I don't know much about antennas, so I am not sure if it is a single pole:-)

Is a single pole antenna the same as an unbalanced 75 ohm antenna?

  • Is that a 10 meter single pole?
