This is one of those irrelevant comparos. Offcourse a C55 will rape a 335i anyday. Not to mention those BMW recalls these days about overheating turbos and flooded fuel pumps causing it too go on limp mode, BMW has big problems to solve these days.

Not a long ago, I ve met probably chip modified 335i (I am sure it wasnt stock) with my C55 on highway... it is very fast car - it was able to keep up until 220 kmh which is typical for 6 cyl car. Anyway - respect :)

Ordinarily one would expect the C55 to pull like a steam train but i have a feeling that this was filmed upcountry in the Johannesburg area which is around 2000m above sea level. A normally aspirated car such as the C55 could lose up to 25% of its power because of the high altitude - this power loss is significantly less ( almost nothing) with forced induction vehicles such as the 335i

Either way, both awesome cars - I would love to be in a situation to choose between the two......
