I actually woke up to this song, hearing it for the first time ever, and I can't think of a way I'd rather wake up. My grandma decided to play his music around the house this morning, and I've never been happier to wake up, and it's wierd, because I don't usually listen to this type of music... Well that's going to change, Charlie Pride is amazing! :)

I was 4 when i first went to see him he gave me a kiss on the cheek and a signed t-shirt, and he mentioned my name on stage :). I lost the t-shirt when i moved but i still have the photograph of him kissing my cheek.♥ I'm only 13 now and as soon as he comes back to where I live I will go see him in concert! I love Charlie!

I have long felt that the two Charlies--Rich and Pride--were among the best that Country had to offer. I am glad that one of them is still with us.

He and his wife just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.in 1997 he had a tumor removed from his right vocal cords.It was not cancerous.After that he did a surprise concert at the Arkansas State House and the governor joined him in doing some of his classic songs.
