Korean people stick together because they have a tight cultural bond. (earliest korean pottery apparently dates to 10,000 BC) Don't make this a race thing as everyone knows black people favor black people too. This documentary seems a little bias. My experiences with korean owned shops were always positive. . They tend hire black women especially to assist their black clientele, Many of the se shops also rent spaces in the back at a reasonably lower rent for black hairstylists to work out of. Many korean hair shops have operated in these areas for so long they develop ties within the community from previous generations and witnessing their children grow up to become new customers...

And they didn't get this foothold on the industry through sheer competition and capitalism. The united stated made a deal with Korea to help them become the number 1 exporters of hair and black hair chemical product, in an effort to shut out the Chinese. If the US want's to sell out their own citizens for personal gain, then fine but you can't blame Black people for seeing a problem with it. The problem with black america are the AA who shake their head at other black people and ignore facts.

Who said they owe us anything? I said that Korean Distributors DO NOT sell to black retailers (It's illegal to refuse to sell to someone on the basis of race) and korean distributors DO NOT sell to black retailers. We spent the entire 60's combating racism and the disenfranchisement of Black people. In 2009 why do we have this problem with another minority group. Free market is one thing, sabotaging an entire race for personal gain is another thing. So please kill that bourgie noise. Be fair

this was 4 minutes of the documentary moron. If you watch the ENTIRE thing, he goes into great detail about how Koreans deny blacks on every level from retail to manufacturing.

Nobody's hating. He's telling the facts about the black hair business. And part of the facts is that Koreans not only control the industry, they also are racist as hell. If you were in the industry, you would know. Korean distributors don't sell to black retailers. Korean realtor's don't buy from black distributors. That is fact, get over it.

i agree with wat ur saying, partially.  But by saying Koreans are very racist, is as if ur saying all white man hates black ppl, it's bias and racist. But if a company is Korean "American" based, and they deny african american workers then that is wrong, but we are still all americans!
