Dakota is not a little girl any longer. She will turn age 15 in a month. Bringing child rape into the discussion is not approriate. No one said we were in favor of such a terrible thing. Just because we find a girl attractive does NOT = child rape.

@nativebikerdce This wasn't something that someone came up with just for entertainment. Sadly, rape doesn't discriminate by age. Why should we pretend that it does by censoring movies like this? This movie brings to light difficult and horrible issue. I think it says a lot about the twisted views of our society when this movie gets bashed, even though there are so many other movies out there that have gross amounts of senseless and unnecessary violence.

this is the worst thing I've ever seen. This should have NEVER been done to this extent. The studio that let this go through should be shut down and NEVER aloud to be in buisness again. There is a HUGE difference between art and whatever they think this is!!!!!

She probably would have turned her rage onto him, and accused him of raping her. I liked the movie because as a Northerner who spent a lot of time in pre-Disney Florida, when I see these movies, it reminds me of that sort of daydreamy south with its easy, folksy charm. Yet I also remember the restaurants for whites only, the segregation part, and a black who was lucky enough to have "made it" in the south wouldn't rock the boat further by helping two distressed whites, esp. female ones.
