I wonder if Northern Ireland will recieve the same recognition in 2012? Dought it, but quite possible. Although if they run the torch through Belfast I'd expect some violence nonetheless.

It was about as sarcastic as a comment can get. The point was in those films the USA took credit when they were no where near the war. Most notably, U571. They claim the USA saved the day. At the period the film was depicting the USA was still neutral! Not even considering entering the war.
