KEVIN JOHNSON - She's leavin' (Bonnie please don't go)

This was released in the UK in the wake of his universally recognised signature song "Rock and roll I gave you the best years of my life". Whilst it had a similar riff, thissong never got the air play and fell by the wayside. However I think it stands on its own as a well crafted song that inspired the video that I have cobbled together. Hope you like the end product!!

@theoldgalah Thanks. I can't swear to it but I think Mr Johnson's songs featured a lot on an obscure 70s/80s film called "Magee & The Lady" starring Tony Lo Bianco & Sally Kellerman... could've even been this song!! Still, I like it too!!

I have been looking for this song for a couple of years. Couldn't remember who sang it or what it was called - I could only remember the opening words and every time I googled them I got a Beatles song (that wasn't it). Brings back many memories of going down to Station Pier in Melbourne in the 70's and seeing the old UK-Aust liners leaving and all the streamers being thrown.

I've been trying to remember this song for decades and I've finally found it! I traveled on the the P & O liner the Canberra from Sydney to Durban in November 1971 and the song and video bring back great memories of that adventure I had as a very young man now so very long ago.
