@musicstah92 Love, it's NOT about 'believing', it's about KNOWING and I know that MC is NOT a competent whistler without studio enhancements. Bear in mind Shanice is doing this far longer than MC and like most of the other whistlers - Minnie, Jean, Debelah etc. Shanice displays similar tone, while MC is breathy due to her poor technique. I have seen enough videos of MC to know that her whistles are not great in comparison to Shanice who is consistent. You are in love with studio devices not MC.

@musicstah92 "Sound strained?" In that case you DON'T know what a high note suppose to sound like. The same thing is said about Minnie, yet she, like Shanice, was the one to do it correctly! Shanice whistles are strong and clear - MC is weak and breathy because she is NOT using the correct technique, she is CHEATING by abusing the False Cord. Take a listen to opera singers and listen to the texture of their whistles. Also MC's whistles are mostly dubbed, NOT 100% live like Shanice. Peace to you.

@Kumtekmeon i love shanice but i will say that some of her whistle notes sound strained...when have u ever heard a strained whistle note from mariah??? also mariah's whistle notes are so versatile and complex in a lot of her songs....they're both amazing.....but lets not forget who the songbird supreme is....peace and amor. :)

This is such a beautiful rendition, from the band to the singer. And I have to say - I LOVE SHANICE. Since I was in junior high. She is still one of my favorite singers. Babyface, you are an awesome musician, a genius, I am inspired by you. Thank you for posting this video, for I have never seen it before.
