It's found on a few pre-1982 "Solid Gold" episodes. That logo was supposed to have been their proposed network TV ident, and they were to have "Star Trek: Phase II" be the show that launched this network. Plans were canceled after Paramount couldn't get enough stations in the U.S. to agree. What was left of "Phase II" became used for the 1979 Star Trek movie.
The first animated Paramount Home Video logo was based off of this one.

when CBS is with Paramount, The First logo was a trick by CBS! It's like a "Come here paramount... let's be together a bit..." but after that, he run his trick, and Paramount television VANISHED FOREVER. And CBS said "mwahahahah"
