  • Nicely done, well explained. It's on my wish list, has been for a couple of years now, maybe someday !

  • @PRACERZ

It's a nice alternative to the common SKS.

  • do you have a spare magazine for this gun, or do you know someone who does, as i have lost mine i will pay top dollar. what country are you in?

  • @WillLemax

Last time I checked gunpartscorp had magazines in stock in 7.62x39mm, they probably only ship those magazines within USA though.

  • @WillLemax

I just noticed Marstar has them in stock... 50 bucks.

  • @blackbeard456 Remove the barreled action from the stock. There is a large slot screw that runs through the muzzle end of the stock, through the front sling keeper. Back the screw out and wiggle the bayoned lug free. Might need a little gentle persuasion to get the lug to start backing out of the stock - it's tight.

  • @blackbeard456

I'll do a video on how to take the bayonet off.

As for parts, the only place I am aware of is gunpartscorp. Haven't tried anyone else mostly due to their ability to ship parts to Canada while everyone else can't ship out of USA.

  • @xStrandedTexan13

I think I know what you are referring to. I will PM you some pictures of my firing pin.

  • @WaffenMit what holds in your firing pin? on mine the firing pin is free floating and comes out when i pull back the bolt. im told its missing a C-clip but i cant find any thing that shows that.

  • @blackbeard456

I think for removing the bayonet you just have to knock out a couple pins, which may not be that easy.

If the previous owner was doing a crappy job cleaning it you should pay extra attention to the gas port and sleeve to make sure there is no excess fouling buildup in there. My gas sleeve was nearly seized up with gunk when I got it.

As for buttplates, are you looking for the inner or outer?

  • @blackbeard456

Strange, mine falls off easily. Maybe it needs to be tapped off with a wooden mallet of some kind.

  • @blackbeard456

Maybe try using a narrower punch to fit in that hole.

  • @WaffenMitUns that's true lol.... but there is always MORE black paint just in case lol

  • @ryangg49

Yeah it is definitely on my to-do list. I might just get a replacement upper handguard instead.

I'm afraid I might find something horrible under that paint...

  • I would love for you to take some paint thinner to the metal and restore it lol

    .... PLEASE!!!
