Conversation With An Autistic Child

This was shot at my parent's house. I wanted to get a video of Tony talking, so here it is. He can have a very basic conversation. He tends to repeat things a lot. Sometimes he'll just say something random that he's heard us say before, like "come eat, please, Tony". He's now 7 years old.

you have a beautiful son! i commented on one of your older vids asking if you heard from a doc if its autism, my sons going for his check up i guess you can say the behavioral 18th check up, the doctors think hes showing a lot of signs, if you have any tips please let me know right now he wont even talk all he will say is mom and dad doesnt respond to his name at all and its getting pretty hard

@krystle1506 Thank you! In terms of signs, I posted another video of my other son who is 3 who is showing some signs as well. Will have to do tests... Tony was an extremely difficult baby and child until he finally attended an early intervention program at age 3. Since then he has changed so much, he is so gentle, relaxed, easy going and talks a lot. I think that the earlier they can get into some sort of program, the better they will be. It has helped Tony so much! Good luck xo

Why is it that most of the coomments on all these Autism videos are people getting pissed off and saying horirble things to one another. What a sad state we are in...anger,no compassion for others...wow. Practice peace and acceptance everyone. These children are amazing and need our love,acceptance and patience. If I were interviewing the child I would ask "How is the car broken?" to see his view on how it is broken. I'm sure he has an explanation for why he thinks it is.

Wow!!! good boy! good boy!~ testing much got a microscope? This was not a conversation and he was very aware of the camera. This program of seeking a reason to each delay instead of getting on with the service of your child's normal development is a part of the world wide Autism BUZZ. I KNOW THIS BOY IS ADOPTED. I can tell by the way you treat him. What's wrong when you got your puppy did it's paws grow too big? ...is not what he was... has NEEDS? GET REAL! Autism is trendy but what about him?
