Dundee (returned to owner)

Dundee is a friendly and nice guy that really likes fetching. He is at Lane County Animal Services. He is a real beauty. His previous owner took good care of him healthwise. He is housetrained. Dundee does NOT jump fences. He's just a really likable dog.
He is having a VERY hard time living in a kennel and is quickly deteriorating mentally/behaviorally. This is NOT the right situation for him at all- In a home he would be happy and content and not stressed. He would flourish. At this time, Dundee should go to a home where he will be the only dog. At least until he is assessed around other dogs. He has been reactive to other dogs at LCAS BUT this is NOT a normal environment with dogs barking at eachother in close quarters 24/7 it's enough to drive anyone crazy. Plus the environment is HIGHLY stressful to dogs AND he has pent up energy. You cannot judge a dog's true nature by how they act in a kennel. We have much hope for Dundee if he gets into a home. Let me tell you why: He was originally found by a person who was walking their dog at the time. Dundee did not attack their dog. He was really nosey and not the most polite with the dog, but he didn't try to attack the dog. He just needs to get into a home to see what his behavior is like in a calm environment. Dogs mellow out dramatically once they de-stress in a quiet home. He NEEDS to get adopted or fostered by a rescue group ASAP, and I mean ASAP. By January 31st please. I cannot stress the urgency enough. You can't wait around on this. His adoption fee is only $65. Please someone give Dundee a second chance! All dogs are innocent, they just behave by what kind of unfortunate situations they have fallen into.
