Agreed. It's called an oligarchy, and it is unconstitutional. The Fed was created in secrecy by, and is controlled by the same people that made trillions of dollars off of the bailout scam through G-Sachs, BofA, JP Morgan, etc. An independent audit would reveal the conflicts of interests involved. That is why the Fed is fighting against it tooth and nail.

I don't subscribe to the idea that a small group of people (whether the Federal Reserve board, Congress or the President and his cabinet - the big three) can know what is better for the whole of society than the whole of society itself, much less that they can identify and understand the complexities of the free market. Its complexities are a testament to the necessity of it remaining free of such significant intervention as was brought on by the big three.
