[c64] Inspector Gadget [Preview] (1987)

There's two Inspector Gadget games for c64 (the other one is called ""Inspector Gadget and the Circus of Fear"). This is the one played before. Intro included at the beginning with music by Neil Brennan. There's no ingame music so I took another Gadget theme by Jason Brooke from the other game and looped it in the gameplay section. The game crashed after about 3 minutes of playing. I remember it had some bugs.

Both games are very similar: Scroll from left to right and avoid obstacles. There's perhaps a little bit more variation in this one when comapred to Uuno.

OOh, way cool:) I love this game even though the bugs they had when creating it makes it crash every time I play it. Also, I love seeing the scene with Brain and Penny at 1:12 - 1:14, since I never got that far myself. Just curious, is that a later level in the game, or just a glimpse you got while playing? Could you possibly post more of that scene?

Unfortunately I've never got that far either, because the game always seems to crash when I try to play it, but perhaps there might be a way to avoid these crashes, I don't know.

If I remember correctly, the screen in the beginning can be accessed by pressing a function (F) - key (I can't remember which one) and another F-key starts the game. There's nothing more to be seen in that screen at the beginning, sorry...

This game looks like a ripoff of Namco's arcade and Famicom game Metro-Cross.

I know the only 1 game for C64: Circus of fear before today. Strange gameplay in this game.

I liked the C64 games that played like they could fall apart at any moment the best :) Too bad that Inspector Gadget really did. Probably a bad disk image.
