  • Awesome cover, true respect for you! :D can you explain the fill between 1:02 and 1:05, i cant only read Tabs (not the music notesheets)

  • @DarkElement1987 Hey mate.. that fill is basically just a triplet between the bass drum, right hand and left hand. Its a very common John Bonham thing, and if you search for 'john bonham triplets' or 'john bonham licks' on youtube you should be able to find some instructional videos. The only difference I do is I play a double on the bass drum (it's easier if you've got double kicks) So basically it would be kick - kick - right hand - left hand in a triple feel.. hope this helps !!

  • What heads do you use? Especially on the snare.

  • @DeadtreeFilms1 Hey mate I'm using coated Emperors on the batter heads of the toms, Ambassadors on the resonant side. Coated Emeror X on the snare drum. Powerstroke 3 on bass drum with Ambassador on the reso.

  • @DeadtreeFilms1 Hey I'm using coated Emperors on the toms batter side, ambassadors on the reso side. Bass Drum is a powerstroke 3 on the beater side and ambassador on the reso. Snare drum is Coated Emperor X

  • Seeing as you are the closest to bonzo that i could find, what would you suggest to a beginner?

  • @chinaboyd Hey mate the only advice I can give you is listen to as much music as you can in the styles you want to play! If you like Led Zep / Bonham then some bands might be Cream, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Budgie, Kiss - basically any band with a well respected drummer. Just listen to the drums and how they flow with the music, the 'pulse' of the track is probably the most important thing! If you have the drumming basics down, then it won't take long to adapt the styles!

  • Amazing dude. Great feel. Absolutely love the Bonham triplets at 1:03 and many other places. Not just a cover, but a tribute.

  • Q: How many drummers does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Ten. One to change the light bulb and nine to tell you how John Bonham would have done it. Boom boom.
