Live at St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles, OBGYN Dr. Bruce McLucas performs a Uterine Fibroid Embolization, a minimally invasive cure for fibroids and possibly the most amazing break-through in the treatment of fibroids that has occurred in the last decade. Watch as the doctor makes a small nick in the skin, finds the arteries that feeds the fibroids and then injects them with tiny particles that cut off the blood supply. The fibroids begin to shrink immediately and the symptoms, the pain and heavy bleeding, begin to disappear.

  • After having an ultrsound done i was told i have 3 utrine fibroids, one seems to be alot larger then the others.. Can you tell on the ultrasound, can you actually see if they are inside the walls of the uterus, or the outside?...I do not have meducal insurance, so this seems to be a better way to deal with these fibroids... My pap smear came out fine.....i was informed it makes a differance wether they are ouside or on the inside....for this procedure?

  • @kodiacwolf yes, an ultrasound is one method that your doctor may look to in order to check for uterine fibroids. Additionally, your doctor may choose to do an MRI. In this procedure, magnets and radio waves are used to create excellent images of the uterus. However, not all doctors agree with using MRI as it is a much more expensive procedure than other forms of testing. If you have additionaly questions, please call 866-362-6463. Thanks

  • My wife had this procedure, it changed her life. But be careful the doctors will try and run the bill up. It's an hour surgery at the most, and I ended up being over 70,000 bill to our insurance company. It's a good service they're performing but by the way they are advertising even in the comments leads me to believe they are making a ton of money from this.

  • I had this procedure done in VA in Sept of 2010. I would recommend this to any woman. The procedure was pretty simple. All of my previous problems are completely gone. (I was anemic, potassium deficient, and had terrible menstrual complications.) The procedure fixed all of that! I was back on my feet a couple of days after the procedure. I had 5 tumors. Definitely check into this!

  • Thank you, this video was very informative. I am to have this procedure soon and the fact that I can actually see what will be done to me has eased some of my anxiety. I have my MRI scheduled and after my doctor reviews this, we will set the date for this procedure. I'm glad to have this procedure which is a lot less evasive than the hysteroscopy/laproroscopy I had years ago.

  • @Confilad It's our pleasure to spread the word about how helpful and effective Uterine Fibroid Embolization can be for women world-wide!
