God Bless the Bloodhound if you have never experienced this fabulous dog you are missing out. I am on my third, When it gets down to work I say get him Buck and I hang on for dear life,But the affection they show is incredible

Yes, it is exactly true. Now I have at home 9 bloodhounds of 3 generations and living with them is wonderful experience. Is very diffcult to find equally noble creatures....

They're among the hardest breed to train. They're very smart, but stubborn. I've had two and they've been the biggest joys in my life. You'll often find yourself lost in wonderful moments just admiring how beautiful they are. About the biting... if he's a puppy, yelp loudly, as if injured when he bites.. If he's old already, biting people is not anything BH's do. It is highly abnormal. Discipline must be steadfast. Try as he may, you have to win. Never mean or cruel, but be firm.

Love it! I had a black and tan male named Nigel. Now I have a red named DaisyMae. Not both at once! You're brave. ;) Everytime they shake we all duck for cover!

i really would love to have a bloodhoud but they have wayyyy too many health problems and to take him to vet will cost thousands

we had a bloodhound (we called her a buddhound tho) when i was little. once she was digging in the trash and i went to see what she was doing. well being territorial she bit me. I didnt seem to mind though. She wasnt even one yet, and i had just turned 2. i am 18 now and theres a spot on my eye brow that doesnt grow where she "ruffed" me. i miss her every day. but i will always have my little bald spot to remember my gertie with! She was by far the greatest dog we ever had.

Your hounds look just like my uncles ones in belize he has 10 6 boys 4 girls he hunts wit them they're the same color as these all of them are brothers and sisters lol my favorite one was one named anna may she was huge
