  • In general you need to take off the grill and bend it back with some force on the L shaped rod. However if you press too hard you risk snapping the key!! You may also need to adjust/rewax the pad if it plays a note after you fix it.

  • Do you know how to align a treble key? I just received my vintage accordion from ebay and one of the keys is raised higher than the others. Thanks

  • You may not need to open the back panel to fix a crooked button. Often, you can bend it back to a straight position by placing a small circular socket tool (or metal pipe) and then gently massaging it back into place from the outside. I would advise not to go around bending and poking inside the bass mechanism. If you bend too much the metal can snap and you need to solder it.
