Marion's Julius Mays drives the length of the court in the final 4.7 seconds of overtime to beat New Castle in the 2008 regional finals. Watch the top of the frame to pick up Mays as he drives to the left side of the frame. Video recorded by The (Muncie) Star Press newspaper
@kwmcmaho Nobody will ever make me believe that what the class A champion in 2011 did is equal to what PLymouth did in 1982, Milan in the 50's, Connersville in 1983 or even Argos making the final four. Being a small school making the sweet 16 was more impressive back in the day than a small school winning their class tournament today. How dare these small schools today call themselves a state champion when their class tournament excludes 75% of the states schools.

@kwmcmaho There are indeed places in Indiana where high school basketbal is alive and well. However, when considering high school basketball across the state, it is indeed dead. WHen I was a kid, the whole state paid attention to the basketball tournament regardless of who was still alive. Today, only the teams left really care. Class basketball is a joke. Under the old single class system, it was more impressive to win your regional than win a class championship.

I love it when M-Club chants at the end "Can I get a whoop-whoop? Heeeeey, GIANTS IN THE HOUSE!"

It's not a travel idiot, they're just quick. I dislike both teams but I'm glad to say we lost to Marion last year.
