Wow, watching this really makes me think about the sun and its unbelievably unimaginable potential for the earth that we seem to forget. In a TED conferance film, Ray Kurzweil stated that if we could convert just .003% of the total light that fell to earth into electricity, we could have unlimited energy for the entire planet and meet 100% of our energy targets. It's really a no-brainer.....

i think this is the right number;
you see each of those falres, they can be hundresds of km's long and when one of those flares 'snap' it is the equivilant to 100 million atomic bombs going off at the same time.
