The purpose of this video is to give all those greenhorns out there that are struggling with this quest a general idea of what equipment they should have and what kind of approach they should consider when fighting Tigrex. Hopefully, those of you that are having trouble with Tigrex see this video as inspiration and aspire to improve.

Oh and someone is rather SKILLED with a greatsword ;p ~Points at CVIII~ Will defo give it a try, I'm not a big fan of GS's I normally use Dual Swords, but I need Lotus Blades to do any damage... xD

You're using full Ceantaur armor, but I cant seem to make the Gauntlets. They just wont appear in the armory. I have every other piece of the set aside from the gaunts. Any idea why?

Just going off memory here, but you are probably missing a Ceanataur Pincer, which is rare.

@JoeDrop Ah,I see......well i know something will work....and yeah i know,Hidden Saber is a great Long Sword,I killed a Lao-Shan Lung with it yesterday(with Heroics),and repelled two more since.I could've killed the 3rd one (the 2nd i repelled),but i wated time trying to get onto his back and carve,i doesn't work,I just floati in mid jump when i touch him a slide onto the ground.Apparently only one part of his back can be landed on but i don't know what part >=(.......

@incinerator142 Wyvern Blade "Blood" will not work for the High Rank Shen Gaoren (unfortunately), but try improving it to Wyvern Blade "Maple". I just repelled my very first G-Rank Shen Gaoren with Wyvern Blade "Camellia". And congratulations! lol... But you still need another rare material for the Maple Wyvern Blade, which is Rathalos Ruby. But I made my Wyvern Blade "Silver" then improved it to "Camellia", so I won't have to get those materials ;). & nice LS ya got there!

@JoeDrop I FINALLY repelled it with DR.Oh,Wyvern Blade "Blood",didn't think of that!(have it already).I'll try it ( or Maple if i knew how to get the materials) for the Shen Gaoren on the 9* Village Quests,as it's one of the Quests you have to complete to get to the Akantor (9* Urgent Quest).I got Hidden Saber,GREAT Affinity:)-Still rockin' that R.Soul gear! Also i know what you mean about hit boxes-Nargacuga's tail swipe passed through me like 10 times on my first try-CLOSE RANGE XD

@incinerator142 It really depends on what weapon you are using. Wait, nevermind. Dead Revolver is not quite enough for repelling Shen Gaoren, as monsters on the GH have more health. IIRC, I think I used Wyvern Blade "Blood" for the GH Shen Gaoren, and it worked. Try using that, but the weapon is a pain to make, it requires 1 Rathalos Wing. Here is how to get it:

Bone Katana "Wolf" -> Bone Katana "Shark" -> Wyvern Blade "Fall" -> Wyvern Blade "Blood".

Your armor is just fine. :)

@JoeDrop yh i did it with Ravager Blade+,but that was ages ago,I'm on the 6star quests now,and the 5star questsin the GH.I use Kirin Thundersword when i hunt a Tigrex now,as it has high Thunder damage and Tigrex is the weakest to Thunder in the game.But im doing is GH quests now becuase immortal plankton Shen Gaoren is fucking impossible.I tried it loads,i had full Rath.Soul armour,Reckless Abandon+1,Earplug,Dead Revolver and Atk.Inc.Large adn the shitpice still kills the town.

@incinerator142 Yian Garuga armor is good for this quest, you'll be okay. It will take a while with Wyvern Blade "Leaf" since it has poor damage for Tigrex and unecessary Poison Status that will do very little damage to Tigrex. Try improving your weapons a few times and it should work. Great Sword is really advisable to Tigrex, so get Ravager Blade and improve it to Ravager Blade+. The materials are fairly easy to get, plus it doesn't cost so much. Try it out. :)
