As church leaders, it's tempting to spend a majority of our time and energy on programs that are focused inside the walls of the church. However, the people we are leading actually live most of their lives outside the walls of the church. They spend 5-6 days a week at work. Maybe they coach a little league team or volunteer at school. They're busy raising their kids. They spend time with their friends on the weekend. Their lives intersect with a lot of people outside the church all week long.
So as church leaders, how can we intentionally inspire and coach our people to see the natural ministry opportunities around them every day? How can we lead our people to serve beyond the walls; beyond the ministries inside the church; and take their faith into a world that desperately needs Christ?

I disagree with Matt Carter on this point. I think it's naive to say that 18-30 year olds have stopped going to church because missions work has been reserved for paid missionaries and not for the laity.
Rather, people have stopped going to church because they have no desire for spiritual things! They would rather enjoy themselves than study the Word of God. That's precisely why entertainment-oriented churches have been thriving at the expense of reverence and God's truth.

so good, but the sad thing is there are so many old testament traditions being practiced in the "church" that, with small groups or not, prevent people from growing. But going to "church" is still seen as a sacrament. Why do we go to this building? Constantine made it a requirement for of Rome that you must be baptized and attend a building of you would be killed. Many true Christians who did not accept this, adults and babies, were killed! Why do we follow these traditions? WE are the Church!

My heart breaks, because I don't have a meaning to my life right now. I was brought up with a desire to do more, be more, give more and yet I am unable to do so. I'm in a tightly dug hole, with very few options on how to get out and share my words and the WORD of God with others. You with your other videos and your ideas have started to revamp me, started that spark to make me look again, for a place a people that I can help. And I thank you for sharing this with me.
