Good morning, I was wondering how you got the power antenna to work. Did you need a relay? I have seen tons of ice chest radios on youtube, wanted to make one, and thought it would be cool to have a power antenna.

Hi - No extra relay required, most modern radios have a separate switch wire for turning on and off a power antenna (and/or an amp if you are running one). There are only 3 wires for the antenna - power and earth (Positive and Negative) to provide the power, and a switch wire that becomes live when the radio is switched on. Hope this helps.

That looks awesome....Im trying to do this aswell. But I was looking around, and I dont know what kind of antenna to get. I like the one you have. Did you buy this antenna and it plugs directly to the stereo? Where did you buy it? thanks

It's a normal off the shelf car antenna. Most, if not all modern car stereos can run them. They just need power, earth and a switch wire to turn them on and off.
Happy building

It's called "What's the difference"" by Dr Dre.

Just bought a 13.2V, 23 amp lab power supply. Cost less than a very cheap head unit. Thought about using a transformer, but they can cause some interference apparantly. It's inside the case itself.
