  • @nelsonsilk Bull Crap. Without insulin a type 1 will be dead within a week.

  • The videos by this user seem like they were made by a middle school student. Halle Berry 'was' originally a type 2 diabetic. She claims to have 'cured' her disease by changing the way she eats and by increasing her activity level. True Type 1's don't make ANY insulin, and need to replace it with injections/pump to LIVE. There are so many things wrong with this playlist, I would be here for hours explaining them. How do I know? I've been a Type 1 diabetic for 15 years, and counting.. and also edu

  • I was 35 when I was diagnosed with T1. Thought I was in the best shape of my life, was going to the gym 4 days a week and thin. Got a routine (or so I thought) physical and my fasting sugars were 240 (they thought it MUST have been a mistake so I had a second test done) and 311. T1 is rough, they shuffle you off to show you how to inject 2 kinds of insulin meanwhile you're about to explode. It's cut and dried, inject this and try to live longer. No weight loss or pills options here folks.

  • That's type 2 and yes you're correct. But don't forget about the "original" diabetes TYPE 1. Type 2 is popular kid on the block. I'm type 1 and you have no idea how frustrating it is on so many levels there's not enough characters on youtube for me to elaborate. Type 1, make no insulin, inject insulin numerous times a day. Fend off impending doom, horrible complications. It's like comparing a small polyp to a grapefruit sized tumor. Sorry.

  • I'm type 1 as well. I'm sorry but type 2 shouldn't even be discussed in the same breath. I'd dance in the streets tomorrow if I woke up and had type 2. There's no comparison. Sorry. But yet all we hear about now is type 2, forget about type 1.

  • This women is kinda annoying :|

    btw, same thing with everyone

  • Type 1 can happen to anyone

Type 2 is different, sugar in the body and all the crap in the body.

  • i'm sorry, type 2 is genetic as well.

  • I don't think anything kind of physical disorder can be inherited from a relative. I believe, it all starts with the diet. I also believe just about anything can be altered!

  • you can't catch it. diabetes type 1 is a genetic. which means it can be passed on like brown eyes or blonde hair. its all genetics. type 2 has to deal with diet.
