Nu. #A3317 Branko Lustig was 12 years old when he arrived in Auschwitz. Many of his family members perished here. On the 2011 March of the Living, Branko Lustig returned to Auschwitz to have his bar-mitzvah, an opportunity he was denied by his war-time experience, where he chanted the Torah blessings in front of the very same barrack where he was imprisoned 67 years ago. Branko Lustig was involved in films like Fiddler on the Roof, Sophie's Choice, the Winds of War & War and Remembrance, and he was honored with and Academy Award for his work as Producer of Schindler's List. This clip includes a few moments from his moving Bar Mitzvah ceremony in Auschwitz as well as a message from Steven Spielberg.

  • Hi...in a Serbian news atricle i read he is planning to make a movie about Jasenovac, a great tragedy for Serbs, Jews, and Roma during WW2. I am in posession of a book written by one of 20 survivors of this deathcamp (grandpa one of them. Only a few thousand examples wre made during the 60s and since than it's nowhere to be found. I would like to cotact him if he hasn't, beacause it's of outmost importance to document the atrocities described in the book. Does anybody can help me with this? thx

  • This was a very moving and beautiful experience. G-d bless you and Maza Tov! Congratulations! I lost almost my entire family in the Holocaust. You are a brave soul. Not just because of the horror of you lived through, but that you have made a difference in the lives of many of us with your wonderful works. it is also very courageous of you to see your dream to fruition.
