1975 Vanier Cup Champions Part 2 The CFL Years The 1975 University of Ottawa Gee Gees left the greatest legacy in Canadian college football history. The 75 Gee Gees were the first undefeated team in Vanier Cup history. 21 players from the 1975 Vanier Cup team would go on to be selected in the CFL draft, A CIS record. 12 of the 21 draftees would go on to play in the CFL. Collectively they played in the CFL for 96 years. They appeared in 23 Grey Cup games and collected 12 Grey Cup rings. The team included a CFL Hall of Famer, a Grey Cup MVP & 2 CFL Rookie of the Year selections. Players from the 75 Vanier Cup Championship team were selected as CFL or CFL divisional all-stars 20 times during their professional careers.The 1975 University of Ottawa Gee Gees were truly one of the great teams in Canadian sports history.
