Always painful, I know. I have lost friends because of my atheism. People I had been close to for a significant portion of my life. Religion divides, that is all it can do. It could be any illusion or delusion religious or not. It is obvious that religion falls into both those categories but religion does not equate to all illusion and delusion. Forgive me if I seem to belittle your conversion as that is not my intention. I find myself continually in contention of my own beliefs but I found that reason, science, and free thought are reliable sources to fall back on. It seems, the more I study those; the more my old beliefs seem adolescent. Religion was one of them.
