The tricks to riding a Segway
1) Keep you're knees bent
2) Avoid going backwards
3) Shift your weight in the direction you want to go before you turn
4) Don't push or pull the handlebars
5) Don't run into anything
If you can do all that (and it's not easy to remember all those thing at once) then riding a Segway is not too hard. Like any new mode of transport (bike, car, rollerblades, skateboard) it takes a bit of practise.
