  • Assalaam Alaekom.

I have to say, everything both of you ladies talked about was EVERYTHING I went through. My own family we like...hijab isnt necessary etc. I recently went to a wedding and I was the ONLY cousin wearing a hijab!! I felt a teeenssssy bit singled out but I know my self-respect told me to keep my head high - as I am Allah's creation and I do this only for Allah and Allah alone. InShaAllah this video will inspire more of those that aspire to wear hijab - its been 2 months for me :)

  • Sister Nye, meshaAllah you made me laugh so much with your gesture when you said once you knew, it was on :) I loved your commentary illustrating hijabis as ambassadors to Islam. InshaAllah I look forward to your future videos.

  • SISTER AMENA I WANT C UR SON CAN I ??

  • I never grow up receiving compliments like "your beautiful" so I ended up with some sexy clothing to gain appreciation. Alhamdulilah! When I reverted to Islam and my ways of living have change and right away i put on my Hijab. It was then I received an amazing appreciation "you look like a princess" even more than the word beautiful. When our intentions are good in putting it, Allah (swt) will make it easier for us..

  • @123sophsoph This video and your comment has definitely inspired me, I am still building up courage and finding myself as you could say, but I know someday soon I will be a full time hijabi :)

I hope you are still going strong, support always <3

  • Sister Nye, I am so happy to hear your story of coming out to your friends and family. This is my biggest fear and it was really great to hear the story of a fellow caucasion American (I'm assuming)

    Thank you :)

  • @24075725 if you wear hijab with the right intention, Allah will help you with everything else like clothing, etc. I have a friend who works in a law firm and she wears hijab and dresses modestly too, like those fancy plain black pants, theyre loose, and then you can always just wear a blazer with a plain loose top or a nice ruffled top, it doesn'T really matter, and just put the hijab on top, alsoooo you could wear those long pencil skirts :)

  • You have the best laugh ever! =)

  • hahahahahhahahhahahaha Fajita!i started laughing so much!

  • Pffft, fajita. I love it. And I wear headscarves in Oklahoma. In summer. Where the heat index is 110F+. Ohhh, do I sympathize with going to India in April.

    Rock on, ladies! :D

  • lol i feel i i live in florida and i started to wear it in june one of the hottest months here lol
