Excellent tutorial. After I changed the settings my internet did work on steel but then after a minute it went back to the same error page i've been getting "Web page not available". Any suggestions?

I finally got around to doing this. I am running Android 1.5 and have the $20 / month unlimited text and web. After changing the settings you mentioned everything works including the built-in browser. I didn't have to download Steel or anything to make it work. MMS still don't appear to work though. :(

yeah. the regular browser works sometimes for me. MMS doesn't seem to work without the data plan. It used to in the beginning but tmobile got sneaky.

no problem, just an FYI if you set the steel settings to "iphone" it runs faster web pages.
