To me it tells a story of an old man on his deathbed, alone in his dark bedroom. Fearful of the vast unknown that is awaiting him. A light shines in the corner of his mind, his memories of better times, childhood, his old friends who pass before him, smiling. His friends acumulate around his bed, comforting him for his final passage. The lights from the window growing brighter and brighter as the old man passes away, remembered only by the dead.

@stephensonbrown first of all, i'm a female. And this whole thing started because I left a comment about how my grandfather passed away last year and how i listened to this song and thought of him, and then some asshole started saying terrible things about how he prayed that my grandfather died. He was being very offensive. So i gave him a piece of my mind.
