This is the best written and acted character on tv today! Incredible! I still can't believe the amount of misunderstanding involving his character- this is a man lost- crippled by 145 years of wasted life & love, missing his humanity and guilt for loving the only person who brought love and friendship in his life.The one person who didn't give up on him- who seen him for all that he was- good and bad- and still cared. He DESERVES a happy ending for once- its all he wants. Give him Elena, please!

@Prisquared it's about the person at heart, not what they've done. so yes, i do. elena is hardly innocent. sure she hasn't killed people but she's done bad stuff and just because she isn't a 180 year vampire who has turned their feelings off for a century and killed people doesn't mean that she's amazing...she hurts people, manipulates & tries to control them, expects people to do as she says, and that's her normal behavior, not because she's hurt or turned off her feelings like a vamp would do

This scene was sooo well done by Ian, if only Elena for once chose him! He really deserves at least one thing of happiness in his life!!! He has done everything for love and it was stompted on by Katherine :( And u could say Elena did too }:(

@alyxoro she does, but she's just not satisfied. she tries to change him because she's worried about what other people think about him, which is stupid because stefan's done just as bad things as damon has. and she doesn't appreciate him, and always thinks she's right as shown in 3x14 and 3x15, especially in 3x15 when she tells damon to get over the fact that she trod all over his heart instead of apologising for her words. who does that??

@MusiicRoolz I think Elena does love him for who he is. She just hasn't been able to come to terms with that yet because she feels like she owes Stefan a chance. She feels guilty just like Damon does and she is trying to do the right thing. I think most people in her position would be just as confused, maybe more so.

I want someone to love Damon for who he is, and not try to change him!
