@facabella as stated by White an the director of this movie, this performace took place after their 10th anniversary show and after party. I'd assume the crying was from a very special show played not too long ago

While it is emotional, I wouldn't say it's a sad scene. Yes, Meg cries and Jack gets a little emotional, but I think it was the high point of being in a band together for 10 years. They've been through so much and all the feelings come out here. Some sad, some happy, but all all around an emotionally beautiful scene.
